NAHSHUTTLE intelligently connects passengers with similar routes and destinations. Thanks to smart route planning, virtual stops, and a modern app, efficient shared rides are created. This way, you can be flexible and enjoy mobility that thinks ahead.
You can find the app in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. To register, you need an e-mail address and a cell phone number.
If you have no way to book your ride through the NAHSHUTTLE app, you can also book by phone.
Simply enter the start and destination address and the route will be generated automatically.
Enter the number of people you are bringing with you and any special requests, and then click on “Book your ride”.
Use the app to track your vehicle in real time and know exactly when it’s arriving so you can comfortably hop on board.

The NAHSHUTTLE app is used for booking on-demand transport services. On-demand services have different names depending on the service area and are operated by different companies.
A service area refers to the region in which NAHSHUTTLE rides can be booked. The term “operating area” is used synonymously.
NAHSHUTTLE is a statewide on-demand mobility service of Nahverkehrsbund Schleswig-Holstein GmbH (NAH.SH). It is a supplementary public transport service that is managed via a central app.
Counties and independent cities in Schleswig-Holstein can use it to offer their own on-demand transport services in a flexible way- tailored to their regional needs. As a passenger, you can easily book your ride through the app- with no fixed timetable.
On-demand mobility is a modern form of public demand-responsive transport and complements traditional public transport.
You can easily book your ride via our app. Virtual stops and intelligent algorithms ensure that your route is planned flexibly, together with other passengers who have a similar destination.
Pooling means, that several passengers with similar destinations share one ride. Therefore, your NAHSHUTTLE might make a small detour to pick up other passengers. This way, we make sure the use the vehicles more efficiently, protect the environment and you are still able to reach your destination comfortably.
To book a ride, simply register in our NAHSHUTTLE app with your first and last name, mobile phone number, as well as your email address. The app is available free of charge in the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
In our NAHSHUTTLE app, you can plan, book and pay for short trips within a service area.
If your route goes beyond the service area, first use the NAH.SH App. Enter your start and destination addresses there. The app will show you suitable connections. To book the shuttle portion of the trip, switch to the NAHSHUTTLE app and enter the segment information. Make sure to allow enough time if you need to transfer to a bus or train.
If you don’t have a valid ticket, you can purchase one for the entire route in the NAH.SH App. Alternatively, you can pay for the different sections separately: for buses and trains through the usual channels, and for NAHSHUTTLE via the app. Please note that, depending on the service area, a comfort surcharge may apply. If you don’t have a smartphone, you can also book by phone.
Before your first booking, registration is required, which can also be done by phone. Please have your name, an email address, and your phone number ready. There are no additional costs for you.
Yes. You can pre-book our Shuttles up to seven days in advance in all regions. To do so, simply select the “later“ button when choosing your travel time and enter your desired departure time from the starting stop or arrival time at the destination stop.
The SH fare applies to NAHSHUTTLE. Children under six years of age travel free of charge in all NAHSHUTTLE service areas. Public transport tickets are valid in all NAHSHUTTLE service areas. For trips between SH fare zones, the price is automatically adjusted upwards accordingly.

Yes, NAHSHUTTLE is integrated into the SH-tariff system. Day, weekly, and monthly, as well as other valid tickets oft he corresponding tariff system, are accepted when shown to the driver. If you do not have a valid ticket, you can purchase one before your trip, for example at www.nah.sh.

If you have a Deutschlandticket or another valid public transport ticket, you can easily indicate this when booking in the app – there’s no need to upload it.
First, enter your travel details, i.e. where you want to start and where you want to go. When you reach the menu where you can specify your departure and destination as well as the number of passengers and pieces of luggage, click on “Edit” next to “1 passenger.” There, you can add passengers or edit existing ones. Enter the correct number of passengers and activate the “Public transport ticket” option.
When boarding, simply show your ticket to the driver and you are ready to go.
In order to use NAHSHUTTLE with your Deutschlandticket, you must select the “Public transport ticket” option during the booking process.
If you forget to provide your public transport ticket, the app will automatically charge the regular fare, which must be paid after the trip. Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply your Deutschlandticket retroactively.
In the NAHSHUTTLE app, you can conveniently pay directly by credit card, PayPal, or SEPA direct debit. If you don’t have a smartphone or don’t want to download the app you can book the ride by phone and pay directly in the vehicle once you have reached your destination. You can easily cancel the ride yourself:
Open the NAHSHUTTLE app, go to the menu, and select “booked rides”. Chose the ride you want to cancel. Click “Details” to find the option “cancel ride”. Enter the cause for your cancellation and click “cancel ride”.
Alternatively, you can also cancel your trip by phone. Telephone cancellations are only possible during the hours of telephone availability. You can find these under “Stops, times, service area and comfort surcharge“.

Travelers with a severe disability who are entitled to free travel (Supplementary sheet with token) are transported free of charge under the Schleswig-Holstein tarif system within the Schleswig-Holstein Transport Association. If a registered companion (designation B) is listed, they also travel free of charge.
If you have the corresponding entitlement, you can easily indicate this when booking in the app- there is no need to upload it.

Yes, during the booking process you can specifically select an accessible vehicle. Simply indicate which type of wheelchair you use, and a suitable vehicle is going to be picking you up.

This depends on the service area in which you are traveling. You can make the booking by phone. The phone number and its availability can be found under the question “How do I book a ride?”.
For safety reasons, e-scooters cannot be transported. The lithium-ion batteries used in these vehicles do not meet the required safety standards and pose an increased risk of fire and explosion. Transporting e-scooters with general operating permits or license plates is also not permitted.
Since NAHSHUTTLE complements public transport, the same rules apply to your four-legged companions. Dogs are welcome, but must be supervised by a suitable person. Dogs must be on a leash. Dogs that could pose a risk to other passengers must wear a muzzle. A “single child ticket, 2nd class” is required for dogs.
Assistance dogs are always allowed to travel. Other animals may only be transported in appropriate carriers and are not permitted to occupy the seats.

The start and destination points for NAHSHUTTLE are either virtual stops or existing bus stops. Virtual stops are addresses stored in the system that may not be immediately visible in the landscape.
To make sure you‘ll find your pick-up location, our app includes a navigation function that shows you exactly where the shuttle is. In the booking overview, click on the map icon next to the walking time. You will then be navigated directly to the correct stop to ensure that you are waiting at the right location for your shuttle.
NAHSHUTTLE is not a taxi service. We transport passengers according to public transport rules, which means pick-up and drop-off occur at predefined stops, including virtual stops.
The virtual stops in our service areas are not far apart. Using virtual stops helps us to make the on-demand service more efficient.
The NAHSHUTTLE services are implemented jointly with the participating partners to ensure demand-oriented mobility in the region. Participation depends on regional transport projects and funding programs.

In case of delays, we will inform you via push notification. Please remain at the pick-up location, even if the pick-up time changes. Background: signal dead zones may delay the delivery of messages. If the vehicle is more than 15 minutes late, you can cancel free of charge.
No, NAHSHUTTLE does not provide a connection guarantee to other modes of transport.
NAHSHUTTLE is currently available in German, Arabic, Danish, English, French, Italian, Catalan, Dutch, Spanish, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
It depends on how many other passengers book a similar route at the same time. You will share your ride with up to seven other people. On ALFA trips in Ostholstein, you will share your ride with up to eight other people.
Please be on time at your chosen pick-up location so that the schedule can run smoothly. Our drivers are not able to wait, as this would disadvantege other passengers and cause delays in operations. If you are not at the pick up point on time, the shuttle will continue without you and you will be charged the full fare.
If you know that you will not make your shuttle in time, please cancel your trip in time via our app or by phone. This allows the vehicle allocation to be replanned and helps avoid unneccesary empty trips.
Note: Phone cancellations are only possible during the hours of telephone availability, which you can find under the question „ How do I book a ride“.
In the case of multiple no-shows, your account may be temporarily suspended to ensure availability for other passengers. No-show means that the passenger does not appear at the agreed pickup location.
